Description: Contributed to designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining internal tools and applications used throughout Schwab. Worked collaboratively with other engineers, architects, and product owners to solve challenging problems using industry best practices and standards. Tools used include, but are not limited to, using Pega, Java, Node.JS, Selenium, BitBucket, Bamboo, Postman, mabl, and SauceLabs.
Role Notes:
Using Pega, developed and maintained functions and features for software used by Schwab Advisors.
Utilized Agile practices, SOLID Principles, CI/CD pipelines, BitBucket repositories, mabl, Node.JS, Selenium, Cucumber, RESTful APIs, and other industry tools.
Performed risk analysis, wrote developer documentation, presented work to stakeholders, and created and maintained testing automation/BDD.
Built Mock APIs for application ingestion to begin integrations for services that are not live yet and to reduce downtime in development and testing.
Achievements:
Upgraded Wire Services to be ISO 20022 Compliant.
Completed the NERD Program.
Competed and earned first place in the NERDathon.
Earned Veracode Security Labs Champion Level 3 Certificate.
Conducted hiring interviews (technical and personal) for candidates applying to Software Engineering roles.
Contributed to one of history's largest financial institution mergers (Charles Schwab + TD Ameritrade).
Acquired Pega CSA Certification.
